Our Recycle Story

By reclaiming and repurposing waste timber, we create our bestselling BRS range and many more of our soft seating ranges — combining sustainability, precision manufacturing, and exceptional quality.

We work with a international kitchen manufacturer who supplies us with pallets of waste wood that would otherwise go to landfill. By repurposing this material, we reduce waste, lower environmental impact, and support a more circular approach to manufacturing. Once received, the reclaimed wood is carefully sorted and prepared, then cut into shapes, using our in-house CNC machine, for use in our soft seating ranges—ensuring minimal waste and maximum reuse of materials.

Once the wood is carefully cut to size, it is passed on to our expert joinery team to craft our soft seating range frames. These frames are produced and replenished on a weekly basis, ensuring we always have stock ready to support efficient order processing and fast turnaround times.

All remaining offcuts from the CNC machine are processed through our chipper to create wood chippings. The chippings are repurposed as fuel for our on-site biomass boiler, generating all the heating required at Alliance HQ and completing our circular manufacturing process.

Bailed and sent to an approved recycling centres

Our foam off cuts are sent to a recycling centre and made into Recon Foam which then goes back into different industries.
