| On 2nd September 2019 we changed our contract vehicle partner from McDowell’s to Expect Distribution. This decision has been made with a view to improve the efficiency of our transport division and to increase our capabilities going forward, (we have already introduced an additional 18 tonne vehicle to our fleet). Unfortunately, our existing drivers Gareth and Trevor have decided not to transfer to the new provider, therefore with immediate effect there will be new drivers delivering to you. Our new drivers have been fully trained on the product range, but due to the variation of products we supply any help identifying the products during delivery would be appreciated in the early stages. As you are aware, we pride ourselves on the speed and quality of our products and service, however it has been brought to our attention by Expect Distribution that when delivering to a number of companies there has been very little help in offloading (and occasionally no help at all). This is not acceptable from a driver welfare perspective and due to the very tight schedules the drivers work to, this will impact on the delivery service we offer. Drivers are now being asked to report back details of any delivery points that do not offer assistance so we can assess the impact this is having and keep our service levels high. We ask that assistance is provided when we deliver to you otherwise alternative arrangements (e.g. arranging collection from us) may need to be considered.
